Senior midfielder Brynn Baldon scored two goals to lift the girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Grand Oaks in a scrimmage tonight. The team will play two more scrimmages on Dec. 16 as they prepare for their season opener against Klein Cain on Dec. 29. The girls soccer team hosted a round robin with Lake Creek and Barbers Hill on Dec. 16. The girls tied Barbers Hill in the morning 1-1. And they fell 1-0 to Lake Creek. By the end of her freshman year, Krisslyn Boyles was tired of having the stress of three sports practices a day.
She was burnt out.
Krissyln had just spent the year playing JV volleyball, varsity soccer and varsity track. She also played club volleyball.
“I think it was too much on her body,” Krisslyn’s mom Lori Boyles said.
It wasn’t fun anymore either. It started to feel like work for Krisslyn, who is now a junior captain on the volleyball team.
